Contemplating Colour - Red Gallery, Fitzroy, Melbourne VIC 2026

I am interested in the subtle beauty that emerges from the interaction between colour, form, and space. Colour, shape, pattern, repetition, harmony, discord, balance and texture are fundamental elements. Removing an object or subject from the work allows these elements to be the primary reason for creating. The work then becomes a mind game of problem solving. I adopt the less is more approach in my work by applying restraint and maintaining  clarity and order, avoiding what is not necessary. Eliminating what doesn’t matter to leave room for what does.  Creating minimalist beauty to captivate, and appreciate the nuanced colour, texture and detail in each of the works.
